Elders are to be strong spiritual leaders who are reputable in church as well as in the community. They are responsible for guiding the congregation into a stronger and richer Christian relationship when the pastor is not present by setting the example as a spiritual leader. Elders must be capable of facilitating church services as well as preach the sermon when the assigned pastor is not present or when necessary. Elders should have consecrated lives and leadership abilities.
